Queen Elizabeth II (1926 - 2022)

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. On behalf of everyone at Ulverscroft, we offer our deepest condolences to the Royal Family.

During this time of reflection, we are reminded of our founder Frederick Thorpe’s own connection with Her Majesty the Queen, from being awarded an OBE in 1969 to Ulverscroft receiving the Queen’s Award For Industry in 1973. With her support we have been able to grow and spread the joy of reading across the Commonwealth that she guided for seventy years.
